Current work includes understanding virus-host interactions in lymphoid tissue that dictate both local inflammation and the success or failure of B cell responses to clear arthritogenic alphavirus infection. Research interests include antibody-mediated immunity, the relationship between lymphoid tissue organization and adaptive immune responses, and tissue-specific inflammatory responses to viral infection. Past work included studying intracellular protein trafficking and receptor-mediated endocytosis of bacterial AB-type toxins in the laboratory of Dr. Brenda Wilson while seeking a BS in Biochemistry at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
