About Cormac McCarthy

I am an experienced Chief Executive and business strategy leader/management consultant and I have worked in a variety of industries in my career. These include environmental solutions and services, utilities sectors (notably water and wastewater), renewable energy, land remediation, contracting, IT & telecoms and management consulting. I have extensive international experience in over 20 countries in Europe, near and Middle East, South and South East Asia and the Americas. I speak French and German. In recent years, I have undertaken due diligence work to support M&A transactions mainly in the utility sectors (water, gas, electricity, heat, district heating) and in the environmental arena (solid waste, waste to energy, biogas, CHP etc). I also acted as interim manager to establish the operations team for a 100ktpa WtE facility. I have also supported Second Party Opinions for Green Finance. I am a non executive director and hold qualifications in company direction/governance from the IoD. I am a chartered engineer and a Fellow of Engineers Ireland.
