About Cornelia Baciu

Dr. Cornelia Baciu is an internationally known scholar in security organisations, normative orders and international conflict. She is Scandinavian Visiting Professor at Kiel University, Germany, and Researcher at the Centre for Military Studies, Department of Political Science, University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Previously she was Postdoctoral Fellow in European Security at the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg and DAAD-Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Advanced Studies, Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC. Cornelia Baciu obtained her PhD from the School of Law and Government, Dublin City University. She was awarded the 2025 ISA Law-Section-Honorary Mention for her paper, the BISA Prize for Excellence in Teaching 2019, the LSRS Prize for the Best Romanian Research Student in Europe 2020 and with the VEUK-Prize 2013 for her MA thesis at the University of Konstanz.
