About Cornelis Storm
As dean at Eindhoven University of Technology my goal is to support 90 professors of all ranks, 350 research and educational staff, 250 PhD students and postdocs, and 900 Bachelor and Masters students hailing from all over the world as they achieve their ambitions in research, education and outreach. Our department is dedicated to providing the engineers and STEM educators of the future with the tools they need to change the world, through impactful research and innovative education in an environment that is safe and welcoming for all. My scientific work is embedded in the 'Soft Matter and Biological Physics'(SMB) research group in the department, where our principal research focus is in computational biomaterials science: We scrutinize the structure and properties of biomaterials, and leverage new fundamental insights to enable the next generation of bio-inspired and sustainable materials.
