His work shaped my thinking at critical points - from product innovation to leadership development to my own transitions. Those experiences reinforced that clarity comes from being honest about both the deliberate plan and the alternatives worth exploring.One concept I often explore with clients is the "alumni mindset"- the idea that when you leave an organization, you're not an ex-employee, you're an alum. It shifts how you think about relationships and what's possible next. I've found this applies beyond career transitions.
