About Cortney Tremer

Cortney Tremer is a Project Officer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Reachback Operations Center, Office of Research and Technology Transfer, U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center. The work that she does gleans critical information from multiple authoritative databases and makes that information accessible and relevant to numerous Federal engineers and their agencies, thus increasing situational awareness and streamlining decision-making during both disaster and peace times. Prior to joining the ERDC, Ms. Tremer was a government contractor with Noblis ESI. She led a diverse team of technology professionals in identifying and implementing efficient methods to track information technology assets for the Air Force’s multibillion-dollar Distributed Common Ground System, a distributed intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operation capable of providing worldwide, near-real-time simultaneous intelligence to multiple theaters of operation through robust reachback communications architectures. Ms. Tremer is an Air Force Reserve Cyberspace Officer, 403rd Wing, home to the Hurricane Hunters (Keesler Air Force Base, MS). In this part-time position, she leads 25 Airmen, assigned to the 403rd Communications Flight, who support the technology and deployment needs of more than 1,300 Air Force personnel. Ms. Tremer has more than 15 years of DoD experience, holding various military, civilian, and contracting roles in technology, healthcare, logistics, and protocol. She has an MBA (Technology Management emphasis) degree and BS degree in Information Technology. She is a certified Project Management Professional and is also certified in Security+ CE, and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (3rd version), a globally recognized collection of best practices for managing information technology. A native of Pensacola, FL, Ms. Tremer resides with her family (husband Jesse and daughters Cassidy and Callie) on their small hobby farm in Fairhope, AL.
