Now serving as the Operations Officer in the Federal Student Aid/Customer Experience Group/Ombudsman Group in the U.S. Department of Education as of March 2016, and I have performed a myriad of Information Technology and Business/Operations Management jobs since joining the Department of Education in October 1992. 1) Former Supervisory Manager/Office for Civil Rights/Customer Service and Technology Team in Headquarters, U.S. Department of Education from March 2013 to March 2016. 2) FSA/Office of the Ombudsman (currently the FSA Ombudsman Group) in the summer of until the winter of 2013 as a Technical Architect to the Ombudsman Case Tracking System, ISSO, and COR. 3) Direct Loan Services (DLS), serving as the On-site IT Systems Manager for the DLS System in Rockville, Maryland from June 1996 to August 1998. Transferred to the Direct Loan Consolidation Team as the IS/IT Manager and Business Management Analyst. Served as the Operations Officer, COR, and IT Architect to the Direct Loan Consolidation Program of Federal Student Aid from 1998 - before joining the FSA Ombudsman Group in August 4) Joined the Department of Education as a Lead Computer Systems Analyst, Tester, Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR), and IV & V (Government Manager) for certification and delivery of the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) in October 1992. Completed service with organization in 1996. Received my Bachelor’s Degrees in Accounting and General Engineering from Loyola College in Maryland, May1978. Since then, have also earned certification in Information Engineering; attended the Senior Executive Fellows Program at Harvard University; became PMP Certified in 2006, and attended and completed the Executive Leadership Development Program sponsored through the USDA Graduate School in 2007. I am happily married for 43 years and have four children, two sons and two daughters.
