Tell me about yourself” written isn’t any more fun but here goes nothing. I’ve been in the credit union industry for over 10 years. Currently, I lead the finance and treasury teams at Sharonview as the VP of Finance. Some of the team’s highlights include- an introduction of strategic forecasting and scenario planning to make informed financial decisions for our executive leaders and board - streamlined month end financial reporting - improved the budgeting process for us and our end users, and - in depth liquidity reporting and analysis. Prior to this role, I was a credit risk analyst for the lending team and performed in depth credit analytics, which I have carried into my current role. I also worked in compliance and risk management. I also worked on the dark side as an NCUA examiner for five years. My time at NCUA exposed me to credit unions of all sizes and risk profiles. I learned how CUs operate and how all areas work together. This has paid huge dividends for my career. I was promoted to Dad in August of 2024 and it’s the best position I’ve ever held.
