About Cory Dugan

Passionate researcher and educator specialising in nutrition science and exercise physiology, with a particular focus on women's health and micronutrient metabolism, especially iron deficiency. My work is driven by the goal to improve health outcomes for women, specifically those who are physically active, by addressing the unique nutritional challenges they face. Throughout my career, I have explored the complex relationship between iron deficiency, exercise performance, and overall well-being in women, aiming to develop evidence-based strategies that directly benefit this population. I earned my PhD from The University of Western Australia, where my research examined iron deficiency management and its impact on women’s health, particularly active females. This focus has shaped my broader interest in addressing under-researched areas of women's health.
