About Cory Guzman

The summer after my junior year in high school (2016) I began working for Guzman Construction Inc. in Billings, Montana as a Carpenters Apprentice. My duties while working there encompassed all aspects of framing residential and commercial structures including but not limited to: laying out walls, framing walls according to technical drawings, framing and installing stairs, setting trusses, and sheeting walls and roofs. I continued to work for Guzman Construction Inc. in the summers between high school and then college through 2020. I began college straight out of high school in the fall of 2017 at Montana State University Billings pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. The following year I transferred to Montana State University in Bozeman (MSU) to continue studying mechanical engineering. For the next two academic years I worked as a Resident Advisor on campus at MSU for up to 40 students at a time, a role that requires significant organizational efforts and team management skills. I graduated from MSU with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in December 2021. While studying at MSU I took elective coursework to expand my technical competencies in Combustion, Mechanics of Materials, and HVAC systems. I also took and passed the Mechanical Fundamentals of Engineering Exam in Montana. After the holidays I returned to Bozeman and have been working with FedEx Ground since January 15th, 2022.
