Dr. Cory Wicker is the Senior Certified Human Resources Leader who works with higher education systems to achieve performance, productivity, and profit goals through an organization's greatest asset.its PEOPLE. As Director of Human Resources for the State of Louisiana's Board of Regents, Dr. Wicker directs all HR functions: Benefits, Performance Management, Development, Compliance, Employee Relations, Staffing, Workers Compensation, and Payroll Administration, in alignment with strategic goals. He assesses legacy HR functions and systematizes processes for compliance with EEO, and FMLA, employee relations, DEIB inclusivity, and cost savings, leading his team to achieve a 100% Civil Service compliance score. Dr. Wicker also backed changes to minimum qualification requirements for attracting and retaining a qualified workforce of 200-300, diversifying applicant pools for the Board of Regents. Previously, Dr. Wicker achieved a 0.49% SUTA (State Unemployment Tax Act) rate, the lowest in Associated Grocers' history. As a strategic leader, he achieves these results by fostering a common purpose among team members.
