I’m an advertising photographer & director living in a sandy & surfy corner of Los Angeles with my wife Michelle, our daughter Scout, and our dogs Fozzie (he's the muscle) and Maybe (she's the brains). I was born in a small town in Iowa & graduated from the University of Iowa with extremely useful degrees in sociology & religion before picking up a camera & heading west. I love the energy of the collaborative creative effort, so I started Kremer/Johnson with my friend, Neil Kremer. We specialize in conceptual portraiture & narrative-driven scenes, and we’re known for capturing authentic moments in even the most manufactured of settings. Together, we create award-winning still & motion campaigns for advertising clients worldwide.
