About Cory Kamins

Successfully completed 6 years of honorable active service. I have acquired 6 years worth of experience as an electronics technician involving numerous radar and communication systems. My primary role is preventative and corrective maintenance as a subject matter expert involving systems that focus on safety of flight for the various air wing assets on board the USS John C. Stennis aircraft carrier. For the past 2 years I have also been the ships primary Librarian and Data Manager. My daily responsibilities include maintaining the ships physical and digital resources associated with day-to-day maintenance, ship equipment configuration management, and troubleshooting materials such as confidential physical and digital media. Aside from hands on experience with equipment and systems, I have acquired the best traits required in a productive leadership role. As a leader in both a one-on-one and group setting, I have learned the best qualities that inspire individual and teamwork success is not to demand results and expect positive outcomes. Instead, it is far more fruitful to mentor and lead by example to inspire those to be proactive instead of reactive in any area or position. I have also recently acquired my BS degree in Cybersecurity Management and Policy Writing and will continue to advance my knowledge and education.
