Background

About Cory Parker

I develop and validate systematic trading strategies across equities, commodities, currencies, rates, and volatility. For the past 3 years, I've built algorithmic trading systems using RealTest, Excel/VBA, and some Python—applying rigorous backtesting methodologytargeting low correlation-based, multi-system, portfolio construction. My focus is on statistical robustness, risk management, and uncorrelated strategy development. My analytical foundation comes from 30 years of precision diagnostics in automotive collision repair, where I earned I-CAR Platinum certifications and developed systematic problem-solving skills under pressure. This background taught me to think in terms of probabilities, manage risk with real financial consequences, and optimize complex systems—skills that translate directly to quantitative trading. While I don't have a PhD in mathematics,I have something equally valuable: thousands of hours of disciplined practice solving complex problems where precision is non-negotiable.I'm seeking opportunities in quantitative research, systematic trading, or strategy development where I can contribute my proven analytical discipline and hands-on trading experience.
