Eleven years as an RN and I continue to feel incredibly fortunate to be in this field.I am a regional trainer and CCMC certified nurse care manager in the Government Programs arm of an MCO. I have nine years of experience managing the chronically ill that require nursing facility level of care while in their home. My goal is to keep our members in the community utilizing local, charity, state, and/or government resources in a fiscally responsible manner to prevent or delay institutionalization for as long as safely possible. Prior to care management, I was a hemodialysis charge nurse. That leadership role offered valuable clinical, management, and skilled nursing experience which informs the education and advocacy I offer my clients to this day. Self-development within the field of nursing continues as I completed the Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification in August of 2022.Current five year goal- DNP/NP licensure (specialty: Psychiatry)I hold an active RN license in New York and New Jersey.
