About Cosmin Mocan

For 25+ years I've built software where data, devices, and people meet — and I care most about making it secure, correct, and still understandable years after it ships. My home base is the Microsoft stack: C#, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, and SQL Server on modern.NET. Most recently I designed and built a capital-expenditure approval platform as a cleanly layered, reflection-based modular monolith — feature modules that register their own services, permissions, migrations, and APIs automatically, around a workflow engine with threshold-driven approvals and concurrency-safe numbering. I treat application security as a design input, not an afterthought: authorization at the service boundary, IDOR defense, RBAC, and audit trails throughout. Lately I've gone deep into applied AI — a multi-service Python microservices platform with an agentic LangChain/LangGraph layer that returns grounded, cited answers via hybrid vector search (RAG), secured with Azure AD / Entra ID. Different worlds, same discipline: clean design, secure by default, documented so the next engineer can reason about it.
