About Courtney Evers

I have a growing interest in learning how to apply technology to do more good in the world, and help more of our vulnerable friends, neighbors, acquaintances and strangers. I'm an experienced Mental Health professional skilled in Case Management, assessment and service planning, program development, therapeutic crisis intervention, and conflict resolution. I've been learning HTML and CSS for a while, and am now moving on to JavaScript. I have several ideas for websites and apps, as well as in person programming that can be used to create positive change for our most vulnerable. Some of my other creative pursuits include photography, live music events, leather working, sewing, fiber arts, and baking. I'm a lifelong learner and volunteer/helper in the community. Some of the organizations and events I have volunteered with include: Track 3 Skiing Association for the Disabled, Toronto Street Needs Assessment, Elevate Festival, Free Geek Toronto, Indie Music Week, Blood In the Snow Film Festival, as well as participating in various private events and fundraisers. In last 2022/early 2023, I assisted in raising through a combination of GoFundMe and a fundraiser music event, working closely with the venue, prize donors, and volunteer. Strong utilization of social media to help spread the word and build interest resulted in a sold out show! We decided to repeat the event and have raised a further over the last 2 events, the latest one having occurred in Jan 2025.
