About Craig Clark

I am a graduate student from both, Energy Systems Engineering Technology at Holland College. I furthered my education through George Brown College online programs: PLC Technician II and Industrial Automation. I am passionate about energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. This led me to proceed my education by currently becoming a LEED Green Associate. The online PLC Technician II program provided me with experience of programming real world applications using Allen-Bradley RS software. I became familiar with tag-based programming along uses of: counters, timers, branch loops, sequencers bit shifting (data handling), and math instructions. The course expanded my knowledge by introducing me to SCADA and DCS. The online Industrial Automation course expanded my knowledge of PLC programming along with real world I/O devices. Digital and analog input devices were heavily discussed to understand how a microprocessor is capable of signalling an output device to act in either and on/off or variable manner. Robotic vision touch and sound were also studied for an introduction to robotic programming. During my time enrolled in Holland College's Energy Systems Engineering Technology (ESET) program. The program has educated me in a wide area of renewable energy systems, and energy management opportunities for residential and commercial buildings. The course also provided me with basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills. I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Prince Edward Island, and worked in the culinary industry. Skills that I developed include: organization; communication; cooperation; time-management; multitasking; ability to work independently and with others; and the desire to learn. I will incorporate these skills into developing my career. My goal is to begin a career that helps our environment by conserving and reducing energy in buildings by using efficient design and operation
