About Craig Colclasure

Craig is an architect with over 30 years’ experience working within multi-discipline design firms and property development companies. His project portfolio includes residential, education and commercial developments in Europe, North America, Africa and Asia. As Head of Design at Elements Europe, Craig applies this background in detailed design and technical coordination to provide focused leadership for internal and external professional teams including design, planning and specialist consultants. Craig is a strong advocate for technical innovation, conscientious design and environmental responsibility. Prior to joining Elements Europe he was Director of Architecture for a property development company and housebuilder. While there, Craig initiated and implemented the company’s development of a modular solution for residential construction. The factory built, volumetric designs were developed for multi-family apartment blocks as well as detached and semi-detached homes. The use of off-site modular components provided the projects with better cost certainty, reduced build programme, improved quality control, and safer working conditions within the factory environment. While at the London office of SOM, Craig was the senior coordinating architect. He was directly involved in the ongoing technical development of specific projects, as well as the officewide development of technical personnel and resources. Craig's extensive architectural experience with detailing, preparation of contract documents, coordination of tender packages, development of complex coordination programmes, are brought to bear on each of the projects on which he is involved.
