About Craig Dearling

I am an enthusiastic, passionate and inspiring leader, experienced in senior roles working in complex, fast paced, multi-site environments, directly leading high performing teams, and supporting, advising, coaching, mentoring and guiding stakeholders at all levels in the leadership of their people. I am a strategic and tactical leader, and a pragmatic solutions-focused problem solver with an eye on risk and due diligence when developing advice and designing People strategies and policies. I’m also a ‘hands-on’ team member. I do not simply lead others but perform operational duties as well. I develop relationships with stakeholders and partner with them effectively by having a presence in the business, being available and collaborative, and demonstrating my expertise by providing innovative and practical solutions. This includes making tough, courageous decisions on issues to enhance organisational People performance. I do not focus solely on problem solving and reactive management of issues. I am curious about emerging issues so I prioritise proactively identifying potential People risks, and identifying, implementing and reviewing controls and mitigants to prevent these issues occurring. I am also experienced in and passionate about developing and delivering training and education to build leadership, front line supervisor and other stakeholders’ capability in People leadership.
