About Craig Evans

Craig Evans is Senior Vice President and General Counsel of EPR Properties, a NYSE listed real estate investment trust. Prior to joining EPR, he engaged in private practice as is an Attorney who focused on capital markets transactions, securities compliance, IPOs and mergers and acquisitions. He brings significant legal experience in the areas of public and exempt offerings of securities, securities law compliance, mergers and acquisitions involving public and private companies, middle market, joint ventures and corporate governance. He has taken many companies through the initial public offering process (IPO) as well as representing more mature public companies with their access to public equity and debt markets. He has counseled public and private companies and their boards of directors with respect to fiduciary duty issues arising in the context of mergers and acquisitions, takeover threats, activist proxy solicitations and unsolicited stock accumulations. Craig has particular experience representing companies in the industries of energy, healthcare and life sciences, real estate investment trusts, financial institutions and services and agriculture and food processing in Kansas City and throughout the Midwest. He is a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Officials, Association for Corporate Growth and the National Association of Corporate Directors.
