About Craig Evans

Experienced in business analysis, creative project designer/manager, technical writing, graphic design & illustration, instructional design & content management, training, web development, and technical support. I have created award-winning public media campaigns and internal programs benefiting both employees and customers. As a webmaster/designer I've created public websites and internal intranets, including the site for the Virginia Dept of Taxation. I’m comfortable working in both traditional and more Agile environments. With my combined experience working with both users and technicians/developers, I've been very successful at bridging the communications gap between these two sides to the information industry. I have helped corporate and individual clients with hardware and software solutions, troubleshooting and upgrades, and can generally see things from each perspective very quickly. As a training director and technical writer, I have authored many custom courses for both print and online use, including a Windows-based help system, and have a strong working-knowledge of instructional models. I also have experience as a graphic designer. Illustrator and animator, working on public & private films in Los Angeles, including corporate films for Xerox, and two feature films (http://imdb.com/name/nm295324/). As a composer & recording artist, I have written and performed music for corporate and private clients, including commercial radio & internet marketing. Having spent most of my life working with creative and imaginative skills has given me a strong, inventive approach to problem solving and innovating, and provides me with a fluency of ideas to draw from in most any situation. I work well with groups of people, with a good awareness of others' reactions and needs, and I'm also skilled at managing & accounting for my own time and output in solo project situations. Very comfortable working in a multi-faceted role, where a number of skill sets come into play.
