About Craig Gemmell

Craig started his rail career in 2002 joining First Engineering Ltd, Track Renewals Division, as Assistant Design Engineer. Two years later he moved into the Production department and was responsible as Project Engineer for several Scottish based rail design and build works each year. From 2008, as Project Design Engineer for Scott Wilson Ltd, he was responsible for ensuring that design deliverables were adhered to as per the works scope. After a short return to track renewals with Babcock, Craig continued his experience as a contractor working for Carillion as a Senior Engineer for track on both the EGIP and RACE projects. After a spell as CRE for Track at Amalgamated Construction (AMCO) for the CP5 RCDP Structure Framework, Craig joined Hyder Consulting in 2015 becoming a Principal Engineer and bringing with him significant project experience in planning and delivering the work from design to construction stages. With Hyder now Arcadis, Craig is an Associate Project Manager currently working in an integration role on the Rail Systems Alliance Scotland, delivering across Domestic S&C renewals, IUTs and large Projects portfolio for CP6 and CP7.
