About Craig Meade

I've spent the last 35 years delivering leadership and creativity to the factual television industry. My productions have earned four Emmy Award nominations and two Gold Medals at the New York Film and Television Festival. As a producer and director I've made more than 500 hours of international reality, factual and documentary television and developed and sold another 300 hours. As an executive producer and showrunner I have delivered more than 100 hours of successful programs to international broadcasters over the last ten years. My credits include showrunning and writing the blue-chip natural history series Big Pacific for PBS which drew an audience of almost half a billion people in its first four weeks of broadcast. My client list includes National Geographic, Love Nature, Discovery Channel, PBS, Fox, A&E, Redbull, Sky TV, Smithsonian, NHK, CCTV, France 5, Arte, ZDF and RTE.I’m a global team-builder, drawing together multiple international partners, all of them approaching the same topic with a different cultural lens and designing a production to satisfy all their needs. I believe the keys to success are listening well, being honest and delivering a strong vision early. Creatives need to have a clear idea of what’s required and be given the freedom to excel at their job.
