About Craig Morris

Experienced credentialed mental health clinician with a demonstrated working history in the healthcare industry, as a clinician and educator. Employed as a university lecturer teaching law and ethics to third-year nursing students and mental health nursing to second-year nursing students at CQUniversity. I graduated from James Cook University with a Bachelor of Nursing Science (major in Mental Health) and have completed a Master of Mental Health Nursing, a Master of Nursing (Education and Leadership and Management) and a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary and Adult Education. I have also completed a Bachelor of Laws and I am currently completing a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and a Master of Laws (Wills and Estates & Estate Planning). As a lecturer my teaching philosophy is:"Empowering minds through active engagement using constructivist and social learning principles to promote lifelong learning success". My teaching philosophy embraces constructivism and social learning theory to foster an interactive and collaborative learning environment. I believe that students construct knowledge through meaningful interactions with their peers and the learning material. By incorporating real-world scenarios and encouraging open dialogue, I aim to promote critical thinking skills and practical clinical skills. Through constructive feedback from the students and collaborative activities, I aspire to create students who actively engage in the learning process that supports lifelong learning success. This approach is demonstrated by the workshops I deliver for Law and Ethics in the Profession of Nursing and the content I design each week for my nursing students. Todays nursing students are tomorrow's nursing leaders.
