About Craig Morris

I am an experienced and highly motivated Senior Legal Project Manager and Lawyer with over 20 years’ international commercial legal and regulatory experience. I have worked extensively and am legally qualified and admitted in several jurisdictions (incl. the UK, South Africa and Australia), having acted on and led major commercial disputes, transactions and corporate advisory matters. Recognised for ‘cutting through noise’, I have delivered legal and regulatory outcomes to facilitate clients’ commercial and strategic objectives. I now apply my broad commercial legal, regulatory and project management skills predominantly in the dynamic fields of Legal Project Management, Legal Operations and related technologies. I have previously worked in-house (as GC of a financial services and funds management group and on long secondments to Macquarie Bank and Suncorp) and in private practice (at boutique, national and international law firms) for numerous international blue-chip commercial clients across several sectors and geographical locations. I have acted for a variety of clients, including in the financial services and institutions sector (banks, insurance and funds management), in the energy, resources and maritime/transportation industries and have managed several high-profile legal and regulatory projects. My previous legal transactional work involved advising on all aspects of buying, growing and selling businesses, including due diligence, structuring, contract reviews, joint ventures and succession planning. I have delivered successful client outcomes on commercial litigation and arbitration matters of all sizes around Australia and in the UK. My mix of front and back end legal skills and experience have also become invaluable in the management of corporate and commercial legal projects and transactions.
