About Craig Oneill

With over 20 years of experience as a commercial airline pilot, I have developed extensive expertise in operating a range of aircraft, including Airbus, Boeing, and De Havilland models. I have extensive experience in managing a variety of flight operations, including international and long-haul routes. My leadership in the cockpit is complemented by a calm, focused demeanor, allowing me to handle challenging flight situations with confidence and precision. I thrive in environments that demand adaptability, critical thinking, and clear communication with crew, passengers, and ground personnel. As a proud member of the Otipemisiwak Métis Nation, I take pride in advocating for increased indigenous representation within the aviation industry. My work goes beyond the cockpit through my active involvement in mentoring the next generation of aviators, particularly those from underrepresented communities. I also serve as a member of the Mount Royal University Aviation Partnership Council, where I help shape educational strategies and ensure that diversity and inclusion are central to the future of aviation. Outside of my professional responsibilities, I find creativity and attention to detail through woodworking and custom furniture building, passions that reflect the precision and craftsmanship I value in both aviation and life. I am always open to connecting with fellow professionals in aviation, those passionate about aviation safety, or individuals interested in promoting diversity and mentoring within the industry.
