Responsible for high level assistance and oversight of the operations and maintenance of new and existing parks, outdoor structures/playgrounds, trails, shelters, nature/visitors’ centers/buildings, beaches, marinas, lakes, equipment/vehicles etc. within an assigned geographic region, serving in the lead role for the daily operations of an assigned location(s) as well as serving in the region's overall lead role in the absence of the Regional Park Manager. Plans, supervises and schedules for the daily operation of Antioch Park- Administration Complex, and assisting at Meadowbrook Park. Additionally, this position also and provides support to the Roeland Park Recreation Center campus. Improvements include fishing lakes, dog off-leash area, numerous restrooms, shelter houses, and picnic areas, play grounds, multipurpose trails, and other outdoor activities. Selects, trains, evaluates, and motivates subordinate personnel. Plans, prioritizes and completes projects within specified time. Coordinates special event requests and special interest groups. Purchases materials and supplies within budget limitations and manages budget. Supervises and coordinates activities with outside contractors and vendors to ensure that they will meet all criteria set forth by Johnson County Park and Recreation District.
