About Craig Skinner

With a strategic focus, skilled in leadership, capacity development, project management, training and governance development & implementation, Craig has over 25 years of experience in challenging environments. This is backed up by tertiary qualifications in both law and engineering, and his recent completion of an MBA majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. These complement his specific interest in the fields of Emergency Management, Critical Incident Response, Natural Disaster Response, International Development (especially the Security and Law & Justice sectors), and Disaster Recovery. Craig possesses a broad skill set, and has been described by Executive Management as a ‘closer’, meaning that while he is willing to take on a challenge, he has the tenacity to see the job through. This has been reflected in such high profile projects as the Dedication of the National Police Memorial in the ACT, and Operation Auxin for which he was officially recognized by the AFP. More recently, Craig has successfully applied his skills to duties beyond Australia, working on projects with developing nations as far afield as the Pacific and Africa, and assisting with natural disaster recovery in both New Zealand and the Solomon Islands. This has afforded a valuable global perspective to his outlook. In these challenging environments, while able to operate with both empathy and sensitivity, Craig has shown the capacity and creativity to lead diverse teams to deliver against tight budgets and timeframes, often with limited resources. Craig is interested in working in dynamic and interesting environments with people keen to pursue win-win outcomes for both the organization and clients alike.
