About Craig Smith

I'm a senior librarian with the Cambridge Public Library, working in Adult/Public Services. In addition to a full slate of reference desk duties, I am the resident expert in city services and departments and regularly work with city groups to plan and promote events and displays at my library. I have a broad base of library knowledge, gleaned from several Harvard libraries and my current experiences in a major urban public library. In addition to over a decade of research librarianship, I have deep experience in copy cataloging, archival work, materials digitization, electronic resources management, technical support, and project management Specialties: Electronic resources; bibliographic instruction; reference and research services in the humanities, sciences, law and social sciences; digitization and metadata; copy cataloging; and rare materials handling.
