KEY QUALIFICATIONS My key skills as a Telecommunications Engineer include, Fibre splicer & Tester included overseeing the installation, termination and supervising the testing of all fibre optic cables, fault finding on copper and fibre networks, the installation and testing of various equipment systems inc PETS (Mk1 and Mk2), all of which had to meet strict Network Rail Standards. Recent achievements have included becoming Cable Team Leader (CTL) on the maintenance contract for Level 3 in the UK this involves being in charge of various new installations of fibre & copper installs into customer buildings, such as Thus, Cable & wireless, but the majority of the network relies upon the Network Rail trackside cable infrastructure. This role required me to manage various numbers of engineer’s onsite as well as resolving onsite client queries. Professional experience includes strong leadership and man management skills, supervising technical staff when performing end to end copper or fibre cable cut ins, higher management support with planning for pending testing works and contracts. Happy to work alone or as part of a team to determine the best course of action to bring equipment back into service with the least amount of disruption to operational services. Strong work ethic with a professional attitude towards work colleagues and client.
