Creighton has unique, broad, and diverse experience planning, developing, and implementing award-winning, community-focused programs, facilities, and services, from building a department from scratch to overhauling a once-mighty and progressive department. His leadership approach is collaborative, empathetic, and focused on resiliency and the strategic vision/direction. He prides himself on being open-minded, visible, and engaged with the team, collaborates with the team to develop the vision/direction, and inspires them to achieve it. He identifies the path, provides the resources and support to achieve it, celebrates successes, and collaborates with staff to identify and clear roadblocks and challenges that might occur. He describes this approach as being resilient - the ability to be presented with a seemingly impossible challenge and creatively, as a team, figure out a solution to overcome it and successfully thrive. Keys to success are a clear vision/expectations, regular communication, support in equipment, materials/supplies, and an open ear to discuss challenges and suggest solutions.
