About Creston Ludlow

Creston Ludlow began his fire service career in 2002 with the Rural/Metro Fire Department in Arizona. In 2005, he joined the Phoenix Fire Department, where he currently serves as a Captain/Paramedic. Throughout his career, Creston has actively contributed to a range of specialized teams, including Peer Support, Technical Rescue, Hazardous Materials, and Arizona Task Force 1 (AZ-TF1), where he serves as both a Rescue and Logistics Specialist. A dedicated instructor and mentor, Creston is involved in several training divisions within his department, including cancer prevention, special operations, search and rescue, EMS, and recruit training. He also currently serves as a Technical Panel Member for the FSRI/UL Fire Dynamics and Firefighting Tactics in Multi-Story Residential Structures research project. Creston has shared his expertise nationally as a H.O.T.(Hands-On Training) Instructor at FDIC, Firehouse Expo, and MAFFC, and he plays an active role in shaping training standards as a member of the Training Committee for the Arizona Center for Fire Service Excellence. Academically, he has earned multiple associate degrees in Fire Science, Emergency Management, and Paramedicine, and is currently completing his bachelor’s degree at Arizona State University. Beyond his operational and instructional roles, Creston is also the founder of Firewipes, a company born from his dedication to improving firefighter health and safety. His passion for the safety and welfare of his fellow firefighters was the genesis for developing a product that has directly impacted the safety of firefighters worldwide.
