My superiors gave me the toughest assignments, knowing they could trust me to complete tasks accurately and efficiently. I am usually the only one who reads the manuals and ensures compliance. Several years ago, my company reduced staff and I received a huge additional workload: oversight of five locations, in addition to the two already covered. The previous manager had left the locations a mess. Bills were unpaid and no site was in compliance for inspections or safety audits. I trained employees on how to properly perform and complete the many tasks, how to log them, and where to find helpful guidelines. An additional challenge was that much of the oversight was completed remotely. I established safety procedures, reorganized the building, and empowered employees to create protocols and manage risk. Within a few months, the locations were at 100% compliance for inspections and passed all safety audits. My staff loved working with me because they know I care about them as individuals. This included keeping people safe on the job and healthy in the midst of the COVID crisis. A good example of developing personal to be successful was when I was a flight instructor. I had a student that struggled with the academic studies. I realized he had never learned how to study, take notes, or prepare for exams. I taught him how to read and highlight the critical subject matters, make outlines, and prepare for tests. I also gave him motivation techniques to complete objectives within a set time period. He changed from a student that was barely passing to one that was very successful. I am a critical thinker and decisive leader; a key contributor in operations, administration, safety, and compliance. A leader who builds cohesive teams, identifies customer needs, and quickly resolves complex issues. Conducts research, analyzes data, drives efficiency, profitability, and cost reductions. Complies with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, union contracts, and federal regulations.
