I'm an award-winning American journalist who is passionate about the people and places of this world. Whether my work is in journalism or public relations, I yearn to make a difference, one story at a time. Currently, I am seeking Marketing, Communications and Social Media Management roles within the Silverdale/Greater Seattle communities. I am open to remote and partial remote positions. Previous to this, I was the Digital Communications Manager for Colorado's Rocky Mountain Children's Health Foundation and its programs: Mothers' Milk Bank, Best Start Program and The Stink Bug Project. In this role, I managed all digital communications and third-party contracts, including management of the foundation's nine social media profiles, all digital and print design work, web design, site maintenance and relationship management among contractors, donors and staff. I'm an experienced and award-winning journalist, marketing, communications and social media manager. Since 2012, I have have worked both domestically and internationally in the above respects, with Cork City's IndieCork Film Festival and Christmas festival, GLOW: A Cork Christmas Celebration, and have completed campaign a project for the Cork Chamber of Commerce. I have also created and managed social media content and accounts for news outlets, nonprofits and small businesses. I'm a seasoned reporter with multiple years of experience reporting K-12 education, news, arts and general city coverage for the cities of Arvada, Denver Colorado, and as a freelancer for niche, arts and entertainment magazines.
