About Crystal Jackson

My career experience and skills have been developed since my childhood: assisting my father with running the family-owned carpet cleaning business, working hands on in the day-to-day operations of cleaning and maintaining the care of carpets & rugs, and developing marketing collateral to help the business grow. I later was named manager of the family-owned business, followed by being handed the keys to run the business as the owner, where I was able to maintain the quality and brand of the business for 8 years before selling the business. I then began my next career in Las Vegas, Nevada where I transitioned my career to hospitality. I entered into the industry as a house person in housekeeping, and quickly moved up to a hotel supervisor where I maintained various leadership positions and responsibilities over the next 10 years. I have now transitioned my career as a certified Personal Care Assistant (PCA) where I am personally responsible for the health and wellness of physically disabled and chronically ill clients. Over the course of my career I have demonstrated effective communication skills by keeping open lines of communication with teammates and clients in different functional roles to find out what they know, what they need, and how to best work with them individually. I have always been successful with navigating between sometimes competing goals of my organization or clients needs by applying what I’ve learned through effective communication courses such as Rapport Leadership - Power Communication Course. My high energy and passion is displayed in everything I do in life. I take pride in being a leader that leads by example, and living by the platinum rule of “treating people the way they want to be treated”! I have remained active and busy my entire life, it’s definitely not uncommon to see me working two jobs in the same day, where it may be challenging for most to juggle these responsibilities, I find it rewarding and gratifying.
