About Crystal Jephcote

I am a Criminology graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University. My dissertation was based on my placement at a not-for-profit organisation, where I focused on my experiences mentoring within a youth justice setting, reflecting on both my professional development and how mentoring programmes can be improved to be their most successful. I have completed units which cover quantitative and qualitative data analysis, treatment of victims within the justice system and the benefits of using restorative justice. I have an understanding of a range of institutions that are related to criminology, including the police, the prison service, and the probation service. Before starting my current role as Executive Assistant, I was interning with the award winning Work Based Learning team at Manchester Metropolitan University. As an intern, I reviewed student evaluations and the processes by which they are achieved, and worked on introducing more efficient ways of doing so. Additionally, I worked on several projects, including planning and preparation for an upcoming Learner Conference to represent the university to external partners. I pride myself in paying attention to details and being someone you can rely on to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
