About Crystal Mick

I grew up in Northwest Missouri and completed high school in Fairfax. I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising of Textiles, Apparel, and Furnishings with a minor in General Business from Northwest Missouri State University. With this degree, I worked in retail management for several years, but after realizing my passion for helping others and making a difference in the community, I returned to school to become a nurse. I attended Iowa Western Community College and received an Associate’s Degree in nursing. During this time, I began working as a clinic nurse and continued there for 8 years while continuing my education. I received a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from Clarkson College and attended University of Missouri – Kansas City, where I receive a post-graduate certificate as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP). I have a desire to help those with behavioral, intellectual, or mental health disorders in Shenandoah and the surrounding communities. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, shopping, and traveling.
