About Csaba Madru

I´m a co-founder and CEO (previously CTO) of Strainlabs AB. I´m responsible for developing the next generation of bolted joint technology. I´m an engineer specializing in bolted joints. I´ve covered aspects including testing, calculations, dimensioning, characterization, bolt securing, failure analysis, corrosion, fatigue, tightening, assembly and so on. I soon realized the potential since almost everything is assembled using bolted joints. Thus, I moved into management and worked globally. I´ve created and managed several tech-departments and cooperated with many research institutes. This privileged me for international travel and I worked in 30+ countries with some of the largest companies in the world. Finally, I specialized in Oil & Gas where I regularly had the technical responsibility for business cases exceeding 1M US$. I then decided to realize my own visions and together with a group of professionals created SL AB. SL AB is a tech-company implementing IoT / Industry 4.0 on bolted joints by developing a system for Condition Monitoring and Condition Based Maintenance of bolted joints. The system is comprised of a sensor placed in a bolt. The sensor performs measurements and wirelessly transmits data to a router, which in turn uploads the data to a cloud service for automatic processing and reporting. The crew at SL AB is comprised of engineers within bolted joint technology, micro-electronics, mobile communication and cloud computing. Slightly exaggerated our civilization is bolted together and fact is, most joints require inspection and maintenance. The work is done manually at great risk and cost. SL AB automates the process and save time, money while increasing safety for humans, not to mention reducing environmental impact. To know more, please look at the attached document.
