About Cuirin Cantwell

As someone who has always loved every moment spent in the outdoors, I have grown extremely passionate about the environment and keeping it safe for future sustainable enjoyment. Through my love of math and science, I have dedicated my academic career to learning about various qualitative and quantitative topics relevant to the environmental engineering field. Graduating from McMaster University in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering & Society (B.Eng.Society) with an interdisciplinary minor in sustainability, I gained extremely useful knowledge that I carry with me professionally and personally in my everyday lifestyle. I am now finishing a Master of Engineering degree (M.Eng) from the Memorial University of Newfoundland in Civil Engineering while specializing in an Environmental Engineering field. This research-based program was able to elevate my knowledge on a very technical scale to further appreciate green age advancements and the importance of sustainability. I am currently looking to apply my knowledge set of Environmental Engineering topics into the workforce. My professional goals are to first and foremost use my passion and education to assist in environmental sustainability but to also be a part of an active work environment that involves immersive fieldwork in nature to maintain passion, motivation, as well as health, and happiness. We only have one collective home, and I want to be able to conserve and enjoy it for future generations. Let's make it last!
