About Curt Croley

We live in exciting times! Over the past decade I became increasingly interested in what I describe as “Equation-changers”, new technologies that when combined, fundamentally challenge business orthodoxy and change what industries can achieve via the thoughtful adoption of new technologies. My growing interest in these “equation-changers” gained form & focus beginning with Motorola as part of their CTO organization, and more recently with Zebra Technologies – where business opportunities afforded me room to explore areas far beyond my formal profession of product design and user experience – to include such diverse technologies as emerging battery chemistries, head-worn interfaces and body-worn sensors that provide new work-performance enablement for human workers. These, along with the rise of machine learning, prescriptive analytics and anticipatory computing paradigms, are on the cusp of dramatically changing the business landscape - for company executives bold enough to see these future potentials. For me, putting seemingly unrelated technologies together in new ways have allowed new breakthrough visions in the areas of mobile computers, HUDs, data capture systems and prescriptive user experiences. My professional journey has been filled with deep insights, creative breakthroughs, great talent cultivation and yes – more than a few challenges and roadblocks. These have all been valuable experiences for me to gain personal insight, help grow the talented team around me and also hone my internal leadership strength and perseverance. Suffice to say my personal journey has been a fantastic, wild ride filled with creative and innovation opportunities that I converted into actionable business activity.
