About Curtis Bennett

I am a Carleton University graduate holding a B.Sc. in biochemistry with a minor in chemistry, and, a B.Sc. in honours biology. I am looking to gain more research experience to further my education. During my time as an undergraduate, I developed skills including, but not limited to: the collection, analysis and interpretation of data using the appropriate laboratory and/or field techniques; presenting and communicating ideas clearly and articulately using current technology; critical and creative thinking; problem-solving, decision making and logical reasoning; teamwork; and, working independently. I enjoy working on large-scale problems where I can do various types of work daily, often as an interdisciplinary team. My areas of interest involve the study of diseases; small molecule (bio)chemistry; vaccines; methods in organic chemistry, biochemistry and cell biology; natural products chemistry; and, genetic engineering.
