About Curtis Rutt

I retired from an almost 27-year career as a police officer with several years experience in the supervision and training of police officers in varied aspects of policing. During that career, I received instructor-level certifications in several areas of law enforcement including adult education, use of force, police firearms, defensive tactics, and tactical operations. Additionally, I served as a police trainer since 1998 and delivered several courses, sessions, seminars, and lectures on a diverse number of police topics. My passion was training and my experience was in the legal aspects of policing. In addition to being a police trainer, I served on the drug enforcement unit, tactical operations unit, police diving unit, and street level crime unit. I graduated with an Honours Diploma in the Paralegal Studies Program at triOS College and will continue studying law - practising well into the future. As a cop, I never really bought into the "numbers game" of issuing many traffic tickets, especially to those who were typical hard-working, members of the public - just for the sake of collecting a tax. I started Bulwark Legal Services after I retired and it continues to be my passion. I am still involved in training police-related courses.
