About Curtis Underhill

I am a Canadian expat that has been living in the United States since April of 2019. I moved to the Bay Area with my wife when she took a job here and it took me 8 months to get through the immigration process to finally be able to work! I have a passion for entrepreneurship so fittingly I began my career by running my own painting business while in University. Running my own business afforded me invaluable experience in many facets of business including B2C marketing, recruiting, people/project management, and most importantly, sales. The business tested my character, work ethic and intelligence in ways I didn't know were possible at the time, and for those reasons I could not imagine a better experience for me at that age. Once I was successful at that, I knew I could be successful at anything I put my mind to. I am currently working in sales on the SMB New Verticals team at Uber Eats! Our team is responsible for selling to all sorts of different merchants beyond the restaurant industry. I am very excited to be working on this team to help Uber expand into many new industries and drive further growth! Prior to Uber I spent 4.5 years in consumer packaged goods, specifically in the alcohol industry with Anheuser-Busch InBev. I held two different roles in sales/account management with them that required me to engage with customers daily to drive sales and develop mutually beneficial market strategies. One of the things I most enjoyed in my roles was the challenge of developing creative solutions to unique problems we were facing. I am a happy-go-lucky, outgoing people person and that has served me well so far in my career. I love to interact with/meet new people because I enjoy hearing differing perspectives and I also have a thirst for knowledge (yes, I'm the guy that immediately starts a conversation with you when you sit next to me on the plane). I enjoy an active lifestyle and traveling any chance I get. I am a huge hockey fan (cliché, I know) and I played competitively for most of my life.
