In my current role at Rogers Foods, I am accountable for food safety management. In addition to assisting with quality control, I establish and maintain quality control reporting procedures. My role maintains up to date files on ingredient suppliers, latest product innovations, coordinate investigations of all contamination reported, lead the food safety team and hold regular scheduled meetings. Other responsibilities include:*Department training in CCP's & GMP's, observance that staff are following and applying Good Manufacturing Practices.* Ensure compliance to all food safety and quality policies including, but not limited to, HACCP, GMP's, personal hygiene, storage and handling and allergen control.*Along with compliance with the company safety standards, another major role is the ongoing work towards the annual BRC certification (British Retail Consortium). I ensure that the plant and programs are maintained and in ‘audit ready’ condition.*Lead plant audits, tours and CFIA inspections.*Supervise the sanitation department to ensure accountability to company standards.
