About Cybil Stillson

I am a student-athlete at Butler University pursuing a degree in Sports Media with a minor in Journalism in the Eugene S. Pulliam School of Journalism and Creative Media. During my time as a Dawg, I've developed a strong foundation in leadership, communication, and resilience. As a captain of Butler's Division I women's golf team in the Big East Conference, I've learned how to lead by example, support my teammates, and stay composed under pressure. Balancing a rigorous travel and training schedule while continuing to prioritize my academics has helped me maintain strong grades and develop effective time management skills. I've had the privilege of completing an internship within the university's Athletic Department, where I worked closely with the Associate Director of the Bulldog Club. In this role, I assisted with donor relations, game-day hospitality for season ticket holders, and fundraising efforts that directly supported Butler's athletic programs. As a student-athlete, it was incredibly meaningful to gain a behind-the-scenes perspective on the work that helps our teams succeed. The excitement I felt each day walking into the historic Hinkle Fieldhouse, known as Indiana's Basketball Cathedral, to work in the office each day only deepened my passion for sports and solidified my career aspirations of working with a college or professional athletic organization. This experience gave me a clearer vision of how I hope to make an impact in the sports industry. My time as a Bulldog has and continues to encourage me to fully embrace and integrate "The Butler Way" into my lifestyle - demanding commitment, denying selfishness, accepting reality, seeking improvement every day, and always putting the team above self. These values continue to shape how I lead, collaborate, and approach every opportunity with purpose and integrity.
