Background
About Cynthia Braley
It has been 43 yrs I have been working as an Rn at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital. I have experienced so many roles during my career, and the opportunities have been endless! I thank my employer for these opportunities :) As I look forward, I will continue to share knowledge, coach, and mentor every opportunity that I can.especially those that are new into the field of nursing. The nursing profession has so many dynamics and requires compassion, empathy, resourcefulness, patience, and respect towards all cultures and disciplines. Advocacy for patients and families start first by listening carefully to their needs and concerns. Communicating not only their concerns.watching and interpreting trends and communicating precise and accurate information to physicians and other disciplines are crucial for positive patient outcomes. Nursing,in order to be successful, you must have an open mind and value other's input and ideas when caring for patients. One of the most important objectives,in my mind,is to maintain the highest integrity in all that we do.and create a respectful environment that promotes a dynamic team and keeps the patient as the focus. Communication needs to be open, knowledge needs to be shared, and the team needs to acknowledge, to each other, when they see each other do a great job! Never stop learning and always ask questions to obtain the goal of optimal outcomes regarding patient care. Never give up or be discouraged to a point you leave the profession.be supportive of each other, be appreciative of your peers.coach each other (positively, respectfully, and constructively) and you will develop a strong team and an enviornment that you will enjoy when coming into work for many years! Remember. you do make a difference! When you leave work, focus on the positive that you did, and accept the frustrations of your shift as challenges to be worked on another day together as a team.
