As a Chartered Accountant with 10 years of diverse global experience, I specialize in technical accounting (IFRS and US GAAP) and financial reporting, with experience in external audit services across various industries, including Software & Technology, Oil & Gas, Mining, Healthcare, Automobile and more. My expertise spans multiple jurisdictions including Canada, UK and USA. In my current role as a Technical Accounting Specialist at Benevity, I advise on complex accounting matters, stay updated on the latest accounting pronouncements, develop robust accounting policies to ensure compliance with evolving standards, review statutory financial statements in compliance with US GAAP. Prior to this, I served as a Manager in PwC's Core Reporting team in Canada, where I led a team of accountants to provide outsourced controller services to private entities. I oversaw the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes and collaborated closely with clients’ external auditors to manage statutory audits and ensure accuracy. I have also had the opportunity to audit large entities in the UK and SEC registrants in the US including offering advisory services on complex accounting issues and conducting in-depth financial analysis.
