About Cynthia Morton

Cynthia Morton, an accomplished trade association executive and federal lobbyist, is a national expert on Medicare, Medicaid and other public policy affecting the long term and post-acute care sector. Currently, she serves as the Chief Executive Officer for ADVION (formerly the National Association for the Support of Long Term Care), where she advocates for her member companies interests. ADVION is the exclusive national trade association representing providers of both ancillary services and products to the long term and post-acute care sector. ADVION member companies provide speech language pathology, physical, occupational and respiratory therapy; portable x-ray/clinical lab; long term and post-acute care software systems and other ancillary services. ADVION members also provide products such as complex medical equipment and other specialized supplies for post-acute care settings nationally. Prior to joining ADVION, Cynthia was the Vice President for Political Affairs for the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) and lobbied Congress and the Administration on behalf of long term care facilities for more than a decade. She also served at the Virginia Medicaid agency on issues such as provider reimbursement rates, managed care and the state children’s health program. She was an appointee in the administrations of Governors Gerry Baliles and Doug Wilder. She was named by Roll Call magazine as one of the top nursing home lobbyists.
