About Cyrille Baley

I have extensive experience in Investment Banking and Finance. After earning a master's degree in Finance and Accounting, I began my career in auditing in France, working across various industries, from small agricultural cooperatives to major banks. I spent the last two years at PwC and finally obtained my degree as an Authorized Public Accountant. Then I moved to Sweden and joined Crédit Agricole Indosuez as a financial controller. I was then promoted to the role of Internal Controller and IT Security Officer, including Business Continuity Planning (BCP). In 2014, I assumed the position of Head of Compliance, Nordic Region (Sweden, Finland, and Norway). The role evolved significantly over the years, and my local delegation was substantial. I worked closely with operations, mainly focusing on AML/FT risks associated with various business lines, including financing (RCF, leverage finance, export finance, project finance), Capital Markets (FX, interest rates derivatives, securities, Structured equity products, DCM), and Trade finance, and supply chain financing. In 2023, I joined Société Générale in Stockholm as the COO and CFO, which was a perfect fit due to my extensive knowledge of investment banking and finance. I initiated the restructuring of supplier management to ensure rigorous cost control and reducing operational risks. In June 2025, I managed the relocation of the bank to new premises in Stockholm. Working with a small but highly efficient project team, the move was a great success — we secured a better location, more pleasant (though smaller) offices, and state-of-the-art connectivity technology. Beyond my technical capabilities, I possess strong interpersonal skills, including fluency in three languages with an international background. To enhance efficiency, I emphasize innovation and leverage technology to its fullest potential. I'm also deeply committed to addressing climate change, aligning with the bank's sustainability goals, and consistently taking the lead on several initiatives within this domain. I have a strong business orientation, and prioritizing the best interests of the bank. In addition to my role at Société Générale, I am actively involved with the French Chamber of Commerce in Sweden, where I serve as Vice President and Treasurer.
